Biggar went bananas on finding out that the town had officially achieved Fairtrade Town status! South Lanarkshire Provost, Ian McAllan joined pupils from Biggar Primary School and representatives of the Fairtrade Town Group to celebrate the culmination of more than three years of Fairtrade activity. As well as showing off artwork show-casing Fairtrade which had formed part of Biggar Little Festival, the pupils and guests were able to sample a few Fairtrade goodies as well as Fairtrade tea and coffee.
